Florida Teacher Dated Student's Mother to Access Her 13-Year-Old Daughter

Daniel Philip Le Lievre spent four months dating his student's mother to gain access to her 13-year-old daughter.

The 41-year-old teacher was arrested on charges of sexual battery involving the child.

Le Lievre began the romantic relationship with the student's mother in October 2023, which lasted until early January 2024.

He taught at Tuskawilla Middle School in Oviedo, Florida, where the girl was his student.

The Systematic Approach

Le Lievre changed the student's class schedule without her mother's consent to place her in his classroom.

He spent time alone with her before, during, and after school hours.

Le Lievre taught the student Morse code and created secret websites and disposable email accounts for undetected communication.

He opened a bank account in the student's name and deposited money into it.

The Mother's Discovery

The student's mother caught Le Lievre talking to her daughter on the phone in the middle of the night multiple times and holding her hands at Disney Springs.

The alleged sexual battery occurred one night before Christmas 2023, when the student was staying at Le Lievre's residence.

The mother reported the alleged assault to authorities, leading to Le Lievre's arrest.

Legal Consequences

Seminole County Public Schools placed Le Lievre on administrative leave in April 2024 following allegations of inappropriate conduct.

He resigned in lieu of termination.

Le Lievre faces charges of sexual battery on a victim between the ages of 12 and 18 and offenses against students by an authority figure.

He had taught at the middle school from August 2022 through May 2024.
